So London is awesome after all! Turns out, Plain White Tees and Cute Is What We Aim For are coming to London two days after they are in Toronto, and they are coming with Gym Class Heros, and Fall Out Boy...so after much discussion, and deliberation (only it was more like "want to go?" "okay sure" *buys tickets*), me and two of my friends are going to see them! So I'm kind of excited, and my other friend, Shawna, from college might be coming with us too:) And Shawna and I are going to see Alexisonfire too! So I'm all excited and shit now! lol...it's been a good week:D |

Why can't I live in Toronto? The Academy Is....are playing in Toronto on November 8th, and Plain White Tees, supported by Cute Is What We Aim For are playing in Toronto on November 15th....I want to go to both! But I highly doubt my parents will let me steal their car for two weekends in a row... but tickets are only $21.50 for each show...and I want to go...life sucks |

Well it's official...I am no longer going to be a paramedic....In fact I'm going to be doing nothing that involves the health care field AT ALL!...therefore I have "wasted" a year of my life in pre-health....but can I really say it was a waste? It's not like I didn't learn anything....and I met some amazing people, so thats good too....but with my recent career decision change, pre-health was a waste of my time...
For those of you wondering, I no longer have the desire to be a paramedic...I'm not really sure what brought on this change, but I just can't see me doing that for the rest of my life...plus it's not like I'm really THAT good at science, so I really couldn't see myself being happy...I have found a new career however......
Thursday evening I applied for Chef Training/Culinary Management at Fanshawe College....early Friday afternoon I checked the website to make sure my application had gone through, and I saw the word "Admitted" beside Chef Training....So after some thinking for the past couple days, I've decided that I could really see myself as a Chef, and I can be happy doing that....
So, say hello to Dani D. Chef-in-Training :)

So...I've known for a while that my church has been planning a trip to Australia for the next World Youth Day (in 2008), which happens to be taking place in Sydney Australia....and I've said since I got back from WYD in Germany, that I wanted to go to the one in AUS....well when they were originally planning it it was supposed to be like $4500...which isn't too bad considering air fair both ways would be like $2000 or more of that price...so I went "hell, I'm going!" SO I was talking to the organizer of said trip today, and it turns out, they decided the $4500 trip was just too expensive, so they've decided to latch on to another group from nearby who are going, and that trip is ONLY $2900!!! thats like, practically half price!!! AND this trip includes 4-5 days in NEW ZELAND! so the $2900 pays for air fair from Toronto Ont, to NZ, then air fair from NZ to Sydney, then air fair home from Syndey....and we aren't going to be staying in hotels while we are there, we are gonna be 'billited out' to people's homes, so we'll be living with different strangers for like 2 weeks, but HI hot australian boys! so I'm all up for that one! lol so ya, July 2008 I will be in beautiful New Zeland/Australia! God I love my life!!!!! |

On the twelfth day of Christmas, virgo_girl86 sent to me... Twelve piercings traveling Eleven quizzes writing Ten concerts a-reading Nine books driving Eight stars a-shopping Seven candles a-walking Six monkeys a-scrapbooking Five bri-i-i-ight colors Four writing poems Three empire records Two pointless surveys ...and a nirvana in a brendon urie. This one is going in because the "nirvana in a brendon urie" I giggled for like 10 minutes!, and the 'three empire records' because that movie rocks!! |

Leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! leave a comment on here. Next, re-post this in your notes and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses. Repost as "memories" |

So I woke up this morning to find an additional foot or so of snow on the ground...so now imagine the pics from yesterday, only doubled....I'll be taking picture whenever the hell I manage to get home....right now I'm at work...see I'm supposed to be in my bio class right now, but see, Fanshawe College is closed...thats right ladies and gents, CLOSED! which sucks, because today was the last class before the exam, and the prof was gonna do a review and give us general hints to test questions...so ya, that makes me kinda mad....but anyway, mom and I left the house, almost didn't make it out the driveway, so we get like 5 minutes into the drive, and the radio people come on and say that Fanshawe, Western, and all public and catholic schools in the city were closed, and not to leave the house...well too late for that, so here's me in the car going "but dude! school!" then I realized that even if the school was open, my class wouldn't happen cuz my prof is from Guelph, and there was no way in hell he was gonna make it to the school....so now I'm at work, and I'll be here all day, which is only good cuz it saves me from having to work tomorrow, so now I can actually STUDY tomorrow! and expect pictures when I get home from work! |

Well today was our first 'real' snow fall...I say 'real' beacuse we had one day of snow back in October, and then for the past 3 or 4 days there has been an inch or so of snow on the ground...and then late last night it started snowing, and it's still snowing now, and we probably have a good foot of snow on the ground, and it's STILL snowing! so I took pictures! ( SNOW! ) |

My entire house smells like roast beef....I think I'm gonna throw up! |

So it's December 1st...HOLY CRAP! this year has gone by soo fast! esp. this school year. Finals are on the 11-15th, then I get three weeks off... I'm kinda starting to freak out about applying for Paramedics and stuff, and worrying about not getting in, but I did the same thing last year about Pre-Health and I go it, so I really need to calm down! I went christmas shopping today...I didn't buy anything for anyone, cuz I had no idea what to get people! They are sooo difficult to buy for! Except I did figure out what I'm buying Robin for christmas, so I just need to get my butt out and buy it! I couldn't buy it today cuz she was shopping with me! But I did buy myself a hat! it's soo cute! see look
And ya, I haven't updated in forever, so I figured why the hell not! and Christmas is only 24 days away people! get your shopping done! |

so life is fairly boring...BUT today I was in the dollar store buying some stuff for a project I have to do for school, and I totally made one of the stock boys blush! I was in line waiting to pay for my stuff, and I was chewing on the little plastic thing on the end of my hoodie thing, and I always kinda play with it, and it looks kinda wrong, and he was watching me, and I looked up at him, and I smiled, and he grinned, and turned away and his whole face went red, and then he kept watching me, so of course I kept chewing on it! it was fucking great!! and that is my day....good night! lol |

New random facts! woot! nothing overly exciting or anything... Sucrose (aka sugar) is the only thing mammals will eat when they aren't hungry... rabits eat their own feces Gatorade was invented by a sports team (Florida Gators). one of the main ingrediants was fructose (which helps your body absorbs potassium), but that was too expensive to produce so they switched to glucose which doesn't work as well...therefore gatorade isn't all that great!
And because I'm just that bored, and I'm supposed to be in math, but math is stupid, I have found some really random ones for you!
The ancient Egyptians bought jewelry for their pet crocodiles 90 percent of women who walk into a department store immediately turn to the right Because heat expands the metal, the Eiffel Tower always leans away from the sun The word Eskimo literally means 'raw meat eater' In Japan, condoms are commonly sold 'door to door'! President Bush and Saddam Hussein both have their shoes made by the same Italian shoemaker! The blesbok, a South African antelope, is almost the same color as grapejuice Hypnotism is banned by public schools in San Diego More people are killed by donkeys annually than are killed in plane crashes. During menstruation, the sensitivity of a woman's middle finger is reduced Ancient Romans at one time used human urine as an ingredient in their toothpaste 25% of your bones are located in your feet.
and thats it cuz I have to go to work now!

alright this entry is for monicaleigh13 because I promised her more random facts that my biology prof. likes to mention in class... the first two was from anatomy though! Chronic weed users will be impotent by the time they are 40...
There are trace amounts of estrogen (female hormone) found in drinking water
The nursery rhyme/song Ring around the Rosy is about the black plague... "Ring around the Rosy" - a white ring formed around red spots on the skin when a person was first infected with the plague "A pocket full of posy" - they believed the plague was carried in the air, and carrying around strong smelling herbs would ward off the plague "Hush-a hush-a" - people sneezing "We all fall down" - people dying teach that to your kids now! lol
Abount 100 years ago (and before) many women died in child birth because there was no sanitation. A doctor could be disecting a dead body, and then go straight into delivering a baby, without washing his hands....this would introduce infections into the women, and they would die because of it
The phrase "Rule of Thumb" meant that you could beat your wife with a stick that was smaller than the width of your thumb
The red and white striped "Barber's pole" came from when barbers could also operate on people (they were called barber surgeons). The red and white referred to a 'bleeding bandage'. The would wrap a bandage around an infected area, then cut the area not covered by the bandage to 'bleed' it. Bleeding was a common 'cure' for most diseases, fevers, chills, etc. They would cut a person, and let them bleed for different amounts of time, depending on what they had.
that's all we got today, and I don't have bio (or any class) again until tuesday...so hopefully I'll get more then!

Well....it's official...I have survived my first week of college!! and even more good news about my friday schdule!! along with my 8am lab, my 11-12 class is a tutorial, which means I don't have to go all the time...so that means most fridays I'm only in class from 9-11....I can handle that!! so now my schdule is Monday: 10-2 Tuesday: 9-2 Wednesday: 8-2 Thursday: 11-2 Friday: 9-11 I can handle that! lol....there were 2 sucky things about this week though...I had to write stupid math and english diagnostic tests....so they marks of the test don't count toward my grade, they just give the profs an idea of what/how to teach the class.... and I have to work tomorrow at 9...but only for 4 hours...then I'm hitting the mall with Robin...then back to her house to watch a couple movies and I get my birthday present from her!!! yay!! which reminds me....5 days till my b-day!!! woot!
